  Olympic Equestrian Events in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is the proud host of the Equestrian Events at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The Olympic competition, which will be taken place during 9 – 21 August 2008, comprises three disciplines: Dressage, Jumping and Eventing. Both individuals and teams compete in each discipline for a total of six gold medals.

  Equestrian Events Competition Venues

Sha Tin
The venue has a 100 m x 80 m all-weather sand arena as Main Competition Arena, for a capacity of 18,000 spectators for Olympic Equestrian Events and 8,000 spectators for Paralympic Equestrian Events covering both category of Dressage and Jumping.
   
   


  Beas River

The venue is converted from Hong Kong Jockey Club's Beas River Country Club and the adjacent Hong Kong Golf Club for the Cross-Country Test of the Eventing Competition. A temporary 4-star championship Cross-Country track has been constructed. The facilities will also include a warm-up area, a cool down area and a stable block for 80 horses.
